I have also just received the latest "Creating Futures" from WODC and can confirm
what a load of pointless drivel it is, page 8 concerns Chipping Norton and asks
'Your town needs You! again it refers to the "Core Strategy"? It goes on to say how Chippy will develop over the
next 15 years and still NOT ONE JOB mentioned anywhere!
It quotes the Chipping Norton Town Appraisal 2003
saying ' the vision for 2013 would see a working Cotswold Town thriving economically
and socially as a rural hub - but keeping the strong community spirit and local
services and facilities'.
Well eh!...... since then PK has gone with the loss of 400+ jobs,
Horse Fair has become a ghost town, three pubs have gone, one demolished, the Council turned down 200+ jobs, half the
shops are shut on a Saturday afternoon, So much for "Core Strategy" perhaps that is why only 20 people
turned up for the Parish Meeting.
