EXCITEMENT IN PARK ROAD!
3.20 am Tuesday morning a resident in Park Road was woken by the noise of footsteps under the bedroom window. Looking out and seeing four men prowling about and looking in windows of properties. Quickly within three minutes  police arrived, an officer knocking at her door ‘had I seen four men behaving suspiciously’ he asked? What do you think at three in the morning she thought,  Umm yes she said ‘they woke me that’s why the light is on.

She went on to say 'with Police  cars everywhere they lit up road with their car lights for nearly an hour' Police called yesterday to say  six men have been arrested and two stolen cars recovered. Apparently the men were not from this area. The police were called when someone heard people trying their door handle in early hours.  It appears they may have had a device to neutralise car alarms after many cars and garages entered, she went onto say  ‘both sides of us had their garages entered’. Cars and garages in Marborough Road were also entered and items taken.

Arrests and cars taken away by police by 4.30 am.

At weekend a garage was broken into in Tilsley Road with items taken and in Rollright and Churchill recently catalytic converters were stolen from two Mitsubishi 4x4s.
