COMMENT.
I should think most people must
have heard about the Lib Dem Lord
Rennard and his alleged unwanted advances towards party females, quite clearly
they believe he has a lot to answer for.
One party member said There no doubt some offence as caused to women. That's
is no doubt. Clearly the woman concerned think so unfortunately for them the
party do not want to dig any deeper than they have to, what is also quite clear the party do not want their golden boy to be dragged up in front of the beak. There is a similarity
to the BBC's handling of the Savile affair where there was an internal enquiry
without the police leading to guilty parties to virtually get away unlike
operation Yewtree run by the police and jailed Stuart Hall and are
currently chasing Dave Lee Travis, Rolf Harris and Ken Roach.
What is really amazing is those who have sided with Rennard, Carol
Davis, wife of Lib Dem MEP has said the accusers 'acted like 12-year-olds' good
grief woman it was 12-year-olds who complained about Savile and the BBC did
nothing, just like the Lib Dem's now! Another
female news commentator said 'why didn't the LibDem ladies just give the old
goat a slap' for goodness sake woman if the Lib Dem's don't believe them about
this who on earth do you think Cleggy would believe? A Lord or some hormonal
woman?
I know what is acceptable and not acceptable has
changed over the decades, that is what the bike sheds at school were for (so
they tell me) and most young blokes then started by touching a young girl's leg
and they soon let you know when to stop (so they tell me). Times have changed
but what has NOT changed is when a woman says NO then NO it is.
If Lord Rennard had apologised for
his miss interpretation of the situation neither he nor his party would be in this mess
now. Ed: I apologise for the bad English 'There no doubt some offence as caused to women. That's is no doubt.' but it has been copied verbatim from the news to maintain the story.
