FANCY BEING A TOWN
COUNCILLOR??
No pay but a chance
of experiencing power!
Chipping
Norton Town Council has lost one of its councillors following the recent
resignation of Councillor Rebecca Herrin and now is in need of another
councillor to replace her.
To commence an election the council requires 10 people to
come forward to request the election, alternatively if ten people did not come
forward then a new councillor would be co-opted by the existing members without
a new election being held.
Councillor Rebecca Herrin decided to resign after moved out
of the area.
However as the notice was in the Guildhall and no one knew
about it it’s too late so someone now must be co-opted.
So if you’re up to it, fancy a bit of power or interested in
the town politics nip into the Guildhall and speak to the town clerk Vanessa. You
have until Nov 1st after that the councillors themselves will decide
who will be the next town councillor.
While they are at it perhaps Cllr David Lydiat should also
resign, David who according to WODC his home address is now Fletcher road
Oxford which makes him further away than Joe, so come on Joe have a bash at
being a town councillor as well district unless it’s not good enough?
