BRITISH LEGION

A great day was had by 18 members and friends/supporters of Chipping Norton Royal British Legion (RBL) Branch, who attended a visit to Number 99 and 101 Squadrons on 26 Sep 12. Though a relatively large gathering, the group was dwarfed by the various C17s, VC10s, C130s and Tristars in and around at RAF Brize Norton. Many of the members had previous ties with the base, having either lived/served locally or passed through during previous service careers. However, with the recent closure of RAF Lyneham, all were particularly impressed at how exceptionally busy place the place had become, witnessing first hand numerous aircraft moves.
